Weapons & Armor
The world of Britannia is filled with warriors from all of the races, and the sub-races. Most Holy Knights utilize a weapon specialized for their magic, and a generally incredibly durable set of armor. The higher the rating of the armaments, the stronger they are and more receptive to magic it is. Usually, the Rarity matches with the techniques.
For example, a Common weapon is only able to administer the same rank technique until it reaches Epic Rarity, in which the weapon is allowed to use techniques from one rank ahead. For example, a Legendary weapon will be able to utilize an EX technique. Taking character ranks out of the equation, should a Rare Weapon clash with another Rare set of Armor, then neither will be destroyed. If the Weapon is a rank above the armor/shield, then the weapon will break through. If the armor/shield is a rank ahead, then the weapon will shatter.
Weapons and Armor can be amassed in several ways: Traditionally they are bought, they can be crafted, they can be personally enhanced for a stronger effect, or they can be collected as event rewards, feat rewards, or mission rewards. Much like Spells, Weapons are also a key source within Britannia. Everyone who fights has a weapon by their side that augments their abilities. Giants, Demons, Mages, Knights, all use something specific to both them and their power. A weapon they can use seamlessly that also magnifies their magical abilities. There are a sheer volume of weapons that can be used, but remember this is Britannia. There should be no firearms, as there weren't any seen in the Canon.
Weapons do not have to be exactly so. Mages tend to use staves, whips and even orbs to attend to their duties, while Giants are able to wield much larger weapons with incredible destructive force, though the Fairies are certainly not lacking.
Swords are the most common of all weapons, coming in all shapes and sizes. Some are even self-modified to fit certain intentions. There are rumors of a man who created a long sword with curved tips, and the ends pointed outward to better utilize his lightning magic.
'Average' weapons are those that do not possess any special capabilities on their own, and only channel through. They are Common and Uncommon weapons, those that are Rare or higher begin to display odd traits ordinary weapons lack. Any weapon can be made custom or bought. Though they should follow this format.
Chain Whip
Rarity: Common
Type: Mid-Long Range/Whip
Cost: 500 coins
Description: A simple whip made up of several rusty chain links in succession, trailing at a meter long. The handle is comprised of nothing more than tape around some chain links. This weapon can deal incredible blunt force damage, though it is still an ordinary whip.
Those born in the Fairy King's forest, or with even a drop of Fairy blood in their veins, will find that they cannot bond as strongly with 'average' weapons as the other races could. As a result they felt defenseless and looked to their Sacred Tree for support. In response, it gifted each and every one of them with a specialized weapon made from the very roots they could manipulate.
Though not as powerful as a weapon made from the actual bark/limbs, it is still incredibly sufficient and versatile in battle. Every Fairy has the ability to switch between five different forms of their weapon. An original/main form, and then four complimentary forms.
The exception to this rule is the Fairy King, who is able to utilize eight forms instead of the average five. These forms do not necessarily have to be weapons, as some have been rumored to be turned into pillows, ribbons, etc.
