Avalon, as aforementioned, is covered in a blank of soft snow. The City itself, covered in snow and ice, have adopted a resistance to the cold as they go about their lives. They are highly efficient farmers and fisherman, but, with the climate it doesn't help as much as one'd think so they instead trade goods like fur coats and hats.
